Laura Niewold graduated from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, in 1980. While studying at Ole Miss, she was a member of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority, where she served as Rush Chairman. She also served as a Rebel Recruiter for the Ole Miss football team.
Ms. Niewold earned her law degree from the Nashville School of Law in 1984 and went on to practice law in both Nashville and Gallatin, Tennessee.
Laura Niewold is actively involved in the Nashville community and has served as Co-Chairman for numerous community events, including The Swan Ball, The Symphony Ball, The Symphony Fashion Show, The Hermitage Gala, La Bella Notte, The Main Event benefiting The Harpeth Hall School, and The Conservancy Gala.
Ms. Niewold supports West End United Methodist Church as a member of the Communion and Wedding Committees.
Laura Niewold is also a member of the James Robertson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), where she has served as both Secretary and Vice-Regent. Additionally, she is a member of the Colonial Dames of America and the Centennial Club of Nashville.
